Women who decide to see a plastic surgeon for breast reduction surgery each have their own reasons for wanting to enhance their breasts. Breast reduction also known as (reduction mammaplasty) is a procedure to reduce the volume and bulk of the breast tissues as well as rearrange the overlying skin to create a “perkier” breast mound. It usually involves repositioning the nipple/areola in a better position on the breast mound.
